round invitations

After each round you have to rank your houses. Even if you loved every house, theres a line which you could consider your cutting line because you can't keep every house. If no house cuts you, then you'd keep everyone above the line. If one house above the line cuts you, your first choice below the line moves up and so on.

PNM's do not get invitations for more than the max number of parties they can attend for each round. You rank your houses for the next round at the end of the previous one and a computer algorithm matches them against the houses' invitation lists. After Ice Water Tea round, the max number of parties for the next rounds are 13-8-2. The houses do the cutting, that's why houses you ranked low often appear back on your schedule - to give you as many houses as possible for the round. This is almost always the case, so don't be upset when you don't get the max number of parties back for a round; some houses you rank highly will not back on your schedule and houses you didn't are.

After ice waters you rank the 13 you liked the best as #1s, then the others as 2,3,4,etc. you turn in your choices, the sororities turn in their lists, it all goes in the computer and sorority lists are generated and PNM lists are generated. If your top 13 loved, loved, loved you, you will return to those chapters. If two of your 13 thought you would shine better elsewhere and did not invite you back, you will return to the 11 of your top choices that did want to see you again, and the computer will try to get you two more parties from your ranked list, so you have a full schedule. So let's say your ranked number 2 and number 4 invited you back. Those would appear on your party list, along with you 11 favorites. So you are never actually dropping a sorority. You are just saying ifbI can only attend X number of parties, these are my top choices and then these are the other chapters in the order I would like to see them if I don't get all X of my favorites. and please don't stress if you absolute favorite did not ask you back. Look at your list and choose a new favorite-every day if you have to. Fewer PNMs have full schedules everyday round, so don't worry or feel like you are the only one that does not have a complete schedule. After all, you can only receive one bid!
