Hi! I’m coming into Auburn next year and was wondering what I can do to prepare for rush. I know it’s a long time away but I just want to know if I can prepare

Good luck with your gap year then. Unless you're doing something meaningful during it (mission trips, volunteering, interning, etc) then I feel like you're going to have a tough time. Anytime someone says they went on a gap year they come off as incredibly lazy. But if you're making it count, then it could be a positive. Also, I didn't know you could get accepted to a college, take a year off, and come back to a reserved spot. That just doesn't sound right to me.

Pretty sure it's impossible for you to be accepted already if you aren't starting fall 2018. Applications for the year you'll be attending won't even open until around September....so I wouldn't worry about how to prepare for rush until you get accepted first. And if you actually mean that you did get accepted for fall 2018, I hope you know that Auburn doesn't allow you to defer admission, so if you do take the gap year you'll need to reapply when you finish the gap year.

Hmm ok. Thank you for clearing that up lol. At every school around here you can defer enrollment and I thought that’s what I did here but ig not
