sorority rush as a sophomore

Hi, so Im planning on rushing in the fall as a sophomore. I was just wondering if you guys could help me figure out if I might get into one. I just really want to be a part of it, and Im afraid everyone will drop me. My gpa right now is a 3.5 in Chemical Engineering, but Im afraid that is too low. Idk if it matters anymore, but I had a 4.0 unweighted gpa in high school and a 29 on the ACT. I am in a couple organizations at Auburn, and I was very involved in high school. Any information would be great. Thanks!

I think a 3.5 GPA in chemical engineering looks really good. Just focus on having great conversations during recruitment and get your recs you should be just fine! Plus already involved in some things on campus and that looks good too.

I think if you have great conversations, for sure!! I've had friends that are sophomores get into top/middle-tier sororities (phi mu, aopi...). if you're awesome, you'll hit it off with several sororities and have a decent schedule. however, if you rushed as a freshman and withdrew/got dropped, that will be concerning for sororities.

I did not rush as a freshman. I wasn't sure if it was for me, so I thought about it and decided to rush this year. Hopefully it will work out okay!
