out of state
by: AUIs it true that being from out of state (specifically from the North) will give you less chances of receiving a bid from a sorority? Are they picky about that?

No one is released from a house on the grounds of being from the north. Northern girls gets bids here every year. But girls from in state and nearby areas have an advantage because we already know them personally, or know a lot about them, from the same school or church or camp or whatever. They are our friends, or friends of friends, or little sisters or cousins, etc. There are lots of these girls coming to Auburn. Surely you can see that this would give them an advantage during recruitment. But you should not worry about this or let it influence you at all, because if you have a great resume and great conversations and are polished and put together, you will have a great recruitment.
