the fraternity rushing process

by:

In coming Freshman here. I've contacted a few people I know in a couple of Fraternities to get on to the said "Rush List". They really didn't get much information, saying that my name and number are all they really needed at the moment. Im just curious if I really need to do anything else to be invited to the summer rush events. I'm not really familiar with the process of rushing for a fraternity and it seems like most of the posts on here are about Sorority recruitments.

How are events for Fraternities during the summer, and what are some things I need to do to make sure that I am on this rush list, and actually on their radars? Should I just regularly check up with the active members that I've texted to see if there are events possible?

Anything you can explain about the rush process for a fraternity and anything else I can do (advice) would be awesome.

Don't check in with them, it will only annoy the rush chairs. If they're interested in you, they'll call you. All that's needed is your name and number. Fraternities don't care about high school resumé like sororities do. They just want to know if you're cool and if they like hanging around you. Good luck man

I didn't necessarily contact the rush chair with all the fraternities. I did for some, but I asked some actives for a few. Would that be enough or should I contact the rush chair as well?

That should be enough. If you make the rush list, they'll call you
