It depends on GPA, involvement and leadership, and how you present yourself in appearance, conversation, and manners during recruitment. And make sure your social media is clean. Everyone has a shot. GET YOUR RECS - ALL OF THEM!

Be gracious at EVERY house and don't take for granted that you were invited back anywhere, even if they aren't your favorite. No acting bored or disappointed or desperate. Outside of rounds don't offer opinions either good or bad about individual houses. Treat your fellow PNM's nicely. And if things are going well for you, don't get an attitude. Again, it's about being gracious and appreciative and positive, always, to everyone.

Get your recs, trust the process and you will find your home. All sororities have out of state girls in them!

I'm from out of state, and knew absolutely no one in a sorority at auburn and I'm not a legacy and I am in a top tier sorority. trust the process and be yourself during recruitment and you'll be happy!

Out of state girls do well during rush! They are like brand new shiny pennies.

It doesn't matter where you are from (except for three sororities that prefer in-state girls). But get recs for every sorority.

Alpha Gam - mostly in state girls and mostly legacies
ADPi - mostly instate with lots of Montgomery girls
Chi O - lots of Birmingham and Atlanta girls
KD- legacies.

Yes, these have a small number of out of state girls. And most of them will tell you how difficult it is to be the out of state girl in any of those sororities because the girls already have established friend groups.
