pledging a fraternity as a junior
by: LateToThePartySo I am a sophomore now and wasnt able to attempt to pledge any fraternities due to finances. How ridiculous would it be for me to try to rush my junior year? on a scale of 1-10

It's been done before by people. You won't get much use out of swaps unless you're looking into hooking up with freshman girls. Many of the top fraternities are pretty secluded between pledge classes, meaning that you'll mostly only be friends and hang out with your own pledge class intead of other ones. This doesn't go for ALL of them, just most. So, basically you gotta be cool with being buddied up with freshman. I'd say go for it though. Everyone needs to experience fraternity life, it's much better.

You can rush in the Spring as a sophomore. Give all the fraternities a fair look. My boyfriend is not in a 'top tier' and his brothers are awesome! I'm not sure why the top tier always need to remind people they are TOP TIER. What one person is looking for in a fraternity is not the same as the next guy. You'll get a good feel during rush events. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

Thats why I've considered even trying to rush because i regret not trying freshman year or this year. But what houses will even consider me and how bad does it look that I'm so old and just now trying to get involved in greek life?
