for anyone that plans to go through rush...

For anyone that plans to go through rush, don't base your decision off of these rankings and take into account the number of ratings each sorority/fraternity has. The more there are, the more likely they're self-rating.
Base your decision off of your own experiences during recruitment and you'll end up where you're supposed to be.

That's not necessarily true. Ones with tons of ratings could be getting more hate/rivalry ranks that pull them down. Also, a new tactic that has been used a lot is to rate a rival fraternity with tons of 5.0 scores just to make it look like they're self-rating when they're actually not.

I find that those with the most rankings are some of the best, but others try to rank them low, so in order to balance out, better scores are put in therefore raising the amount of ranks in a group....best bet, just go through rush and make your decision. Also, at least one really good group has been inudated with bad scores earlier so they are really low, but they are really very good...again, someone hating on them also. Another view is that those with low amount of rankings, no one really cares where they are, doesn't mean they are bad...just less profile. During rush, many times you don't have the choice to "just get what you want"...be ready to look at ALL of them and be happy you get ANY bid at all. (If someone is complainng that a group has "too many" good votes...they are probably right in there with placing their negative vote to bring them down.) All the sororities are outstanding and all are great nationally as well as locally...so just get in there and try your best with all of them!

I concur with the poster above. You can't judge based on the number ranks a sorority has received. It usually means they are a higher profile sorority. There is definitely something special about every sorority at Auburn. Get ready to be wowed...you will love all of them!

Some of what you say is true...but the rankings on here mean NOTHING.
Here's why basically:
KD had cyber bully haters for a while, and they and pretty much everyone else went to their defense on this site...so their ranking is out of portion because of that. DG and KKG are self rankers to the extreme, but they are good sororities. I think Zeta, Theta, and SK seem to stay below the radar for some reason, or aren't on this site as much so that's why they don't have as many rankings, but that says nothing about them as a group. The rest are pretty much in line with an average amount of self rankers - haters - and defenders. Where they end up on the rankings on here really isn't necessarily accurate.
Where "nerd" is absolutely correct in saying "Base your decision off of your own experiences during recruitment and you'll end up where you're supposed to be."
The only thing I agree with the above @agree is "During rush, many times you don't have the choice to "just get what you want"...be ready to look at ALL of them and be happy you get ANY bid at all" because that is a true statement.
There is no ranking system at Auburn! There are reputations, but all are fairly similar and all are good. Auburn gets great girls. Some sororities are very selective for various reasons, therefore great girls end up in all the sororities!
The most selective are AGD, XO, KD, PhiMu, and ADPi. Everyone can't get in those and it's been said before, not everyone should want to.
