auburn is a strange place- miss everything

Does anyone out there besides me think it's weird that we continually put up girls for miss auburn, miss Panhellenic, miss homecoming, miss etc. now of. Course, everyone has a HC queen but I just think it's so embarrassing the way we run candidates and make it a whole production and everyone gets so intense and changes their profile pic, wears t shirts and cries at The announcement. It's weird. Other schools don't do this. Auburn is just so dated it drives me crazy. TBH anyone else think this? Maybe just me. Idk

It's just a minority of the people. The majority of Auburn students, even those involved in Greek life (who are usually the ones more involved in this nonsense) don't really care.
