want to rush uppermid frat but is it worth it

Hi guys. I am not super into the fraternity scene but I want to rush. I have a couple good friends in upperish tier frat who are older brothers and I am wondering is it even worth it? Would it be possible for me to get a bid? I am a sophomore as well so I feel like it is probably just too late but any tips for me?

Pledging your sophomore year is worth it. Pledgeship lasts one semester and then you get to be a brother for 5+ semesters. It's a sound investment

Why don't you ask your friends in the 'upperish tier frat'???

You should be fine. Check out the middle tier fraternities that are less selective and give out lots of bids to get numbers like Farmhouse, Pi Kapp, ATO, Pike, and Sigma Pi. They're all decent houses for guys like you and you'll have a high chance of getting a bid. I'd say go for it and check them out during formal rush.
