fraternity rush?
by: ADCan some explain how fraternity rushing works? I'm a freshman and I'm not from around here so I don't really know anybody. I'd like to rush but have read that it is in the summer. Is it too late?

Most of the fraternities will have parties this week/syllabus week. I'm sure you'll get an invitation to one if you put your name on the rush list. If not, your best bet is to either contact the rush chair of a fraternity you're interested in to find out about rush events, or go by word of mouth. Formal Rush is also coming up, and it's completely dry. You can go house to house and meet all the guys. Go back to the ones you like and you may get a bid. Keep in mind the big fraternities have most likely filled up by now, so keep an open mind. Go where you feel you fit best if you get a bid

Thanks! I registered online for what I think is the rush list. Maybe I'll get an invite or meet some people already in a fraternity.
