Thanks to our fave, Jill Moore, everyone is being made to drop way more girls than normal.:( Totally unfair to the PNMs and to the sororities.

Prayers going up for all!!!

What's the reasoning behind the drop increases?

I do not like the PNM's only having 2 prefs!!!! This process is for the girls. Give them a chance to be in a sorority. Most girls will be happy in most any sorority. If certain PNM's are choosy then let them drop the ones that they do not want.

New sorority plus JM can't stand to see some always do well. PNMs the sororities are NOT wanting to make these heavy cuts. It is dictated to them!

Jill Moore -- is that the same person as Jill Martin? The cuts this year have been beyond brutal. It's the Hunger Games.

Did many girls drop out today? Going from 8 to 2 is beyond stupid!!!

@Sue and @Friend

Y'all are being ridiculous blaming JM. She has nothing to do with it. It's RMF and how some chapters get better return rates than others. The ones that have more rushees ranking them higher have to make more cuts. Ask your recruitment chair.

They made the sororites cut higher percentages this year.

The number of cuts made in RFM are based solely on return figures for previous years. It's all based on your individual sorority's historic recruiting strength. Nothing more. Quit making things up. This is the standardized system used at campuses across the country and the same system used here for years. Absolutely nothing has changed.

@leelee what does RMF stand for? BTW- as someone with a special needs person in their family you might want to chill with calling people retard.

@clueless

-You are right; I shouldn't have used that term. I let frustration with the poster and a long week get the best of me. I'll try better. (I'm being sincere, not sarcastic.)

-I switched two letters in my post. RFM= Release Figures Management. It's how the chapters know how many girls to cut from their invites. As I said earlier, groups that get ranked higher by more pnms have to make bigger cuts in their invites. (RMF= Risk Management Factors, which as daddy says, is a whole different ball game.)

RFM has hurt several good middle sororities this week, not just the top. And it's hurt good , solid girls looking for their home. So frustrating!

Actually it's RFM and that stands for Release Figures Management. It's the computer program used by colleges all over the country to determine how many invites each sorority needs to make each round in order to place the maximum number of PNMs across the board on bid day. We've been using this system for years. Literally nothing has changed.
