philanthropies
by: PNMI really like giving back and have enjoyed the philanthropy parties I was asked back to. How much time is involved in this part of being in a sorority? Which ones are on top of their philanthropy game? Should this be a big part of my decision?

Tri Delta spends a lot of time on their philanthropy - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Each year they hold two large fundraisers, DHOP and Sincerely Yours. Tri Delta also holds smaller events such as Alex's Lemonade Stand that directly benefit St. Jude.
They are also involved in Camp Smile-A-Mile. Their philanthropy is one of the very best I can think of.
Good luck this week!

I wouldn't choose a sorority because of their philanthropy. At the end of the day, each sorority is really only fundraising and not actually doing work that is handson in regards to their philanthropy. Really pick a sorority based on the girls you've gotten to get to know because that is what will be most important to you after you join.

The only sororities philanthropy I ever hear about are AXiD, Tri Delt, Zeta, and SK. Honestly the rest aren't really in it for philanthropy work. The ones that are however really are passionate about it and it takes time when they put on events but besides that no it's not a huge commitment

Not true, at all. Several sororities do hands-on work with different charities. Some sororities don't even know what their philanthropy is. Don't lump all of them together as they are all different.
