rushing from the northeast in 2013.

I'm planning on rushing next fall and was wondering how tough it will be for somebody from New England to get a bid from any fraternities. I've heard a lot of incoming freshman from the Auburn area get an edge by going to summer parties that some of the fraternities informally throw. Do I have a chance of getting a bid knowing virtually nobody at Auburn. I'm not your average New Englander either -- I'm a big college football fan and am about as conservative as they come. Thanks in advance.

You'll be fine man. I didn't know anyone when I came to auburn and was also from out of state. Plenty of fraternities have guys from the west coast, northeast, and Florida... Just rush around and you'll find the group of guys that best fit you.
