bids

So far I know
-Sigma Nu has given out 20 bids
-KA 20 some odd bids
-FIJI 10 ish
-Theta Chi less than 10
Why has Sigma Nu and KA given out so many and why is Theta Chi not giving out a whole lot?

Some fraternities are different on how selective they are in their rush strategies. KA and Sigma Nu usually shotgun a ton of bids early and are more generous towards legacies. Whereas Theta Chi and Fiji usually treat legacies as equals with any other rushee and are more strict on who they do and don't bid.
The results are mixed. While KA and Sigma Nu are more likely to have lower quality classes, shotgun bidding can intimidate kids to accept at events and make ones that were going to hold more likely to accept under stress. On the other hand, strict bidding is more likely to yield better pledge classes, but at the same time could result in some early holds.

Yeah this happens every year. KA and SNu shotgun bid like bats out of helll in late May/early June and rake in around 30-35 kids. While Theta Chi, Fiji, and Beta bid around 20-25 during that time frame. By early July they're all usually evened up at 40-45 pledges.
