Here's the truth:
pi phi and zeta are more appealing to girls during rush because of their looks. Because they have pretty girls people rank them above mid tier.

Why would Zeta and Pi Phi be ranked so high? Other than fake tans and nice hair, what have they accomplished? Grades? Campus involvement? Seriously would like to know.

Agree with the other comment --- ZTA and PiPhi are nice sororities, but really? No one would list them as top. Don't misunderstand. . . .there are a lot of great sororities at Auburn. And each house is known for different things. ZTA, PiPhi and Phi Mu are all pretty. But other than that????

PNMs. .. .every year, someone posts a ranking. Or two. Or three. Sometimes it is based on self-ranking. Sometimes it is based on meanness. Or jealousy. Or hurt. Or because one group has a lot of highly visible members on campus. Or because someone has blonde hair. Or because there was a great party somewhere.. . ..
Who cares.
Ignore it. Find your home based on wherever you feel comfortable and happy. Every sorority at Auburn is filled with fantastic girls. And you will find your home. And it will have NOTHING to do with a ranking.

Zeta, Pi Phi & Phi Mu are probably in the top if you base off of looks which yes, there are a handful of tan and blonde girls
But if you base the rank by grades and involvement, sororities like Tri Delt and AOPI should be in the top along with Alpha Gam and Chi O
If you base it by how old the sorority is to campus and the "legacy" of the sorority then Alpha Gam, KD, CHI O, ADPi and Phi Mu are top
They all have some sort of reputation, that is true. If you care about grades more, then you may favor a particular sorority. If you care about looks more, then you may favor others. Everyone has a different idea about what makes a sorority good or bad but it is a personal preference. No matter what you chose it should work out for you based on what you want in sorority.
Also people don't lose respect for you just because you join a certain sorority
