chances to get into a sorority being out of state

Is it really hard to get into a good sorority being out of state/not from the south but you are normal and pretty? Is there anything to improve your chances?

it's like going through childbirth. It's really difficult, but in the end, you go home with something wonderful!

Honestly, you probably have a better chance at getting into a good one just because not many of them know your reputation and can't drop you for something bad you did in high school to mess up your rep. Just go in open minded and keep your grades up!!
