fraternities and social probation
by: RusheeHow can we find out what fraternities are on social probation? I have heard SAE and Lambda Chi are but they say they are not. It really seems useless to join a fraternity that charges full dues and has no socials or parties. Why does Auburn IFC keep this all hush hush while other schools you can see any investigation ongoing or settled on their Greek life website.

They are quiet about it because there are more fraternities under investigation/probation than they want you to know about. Other schools don't investigate their Greek life as much as auburn does. Someone could call the haze hotline and make up some false aligation or see something they don't like then contact the university and boom investigation. Pretty ridiculous. If you look at Bama or most SEC schools, their IFC is a buffer against the University sanctions and protects its Greek life instead of kissing the university's ass like they do here.
