Great greek life. Probably one of the best in the country. Only ones that I'd say are better are Bama and Ole Miss.

Rush is incredibly intense for sororities, and pretty intense for fraternities too. There are only about 6 or 7 fraternities who can actually throw any parties that can keep up with those at places like Bama and UGA, but this is due to how the University restricts Greek life so harshly (as evidenced by sororities not having houses).

I don't go here I go to UGA but greek life here seems to be the worst in the SEC. The fraternity houses are tiny as nuts and sororities don't even have houses. Seems like there are only a few relevant fraternities/sororities .

Auburn's Greek system is a repeat of high school. It is literally dominated by the Big 5 sororities and fraternities (KD, Alpha Gam, Chi O, Phi Mu, ADPi; Fiji, Sigma Nu, KA, Theta Chi, Beta). If you mistakenly chose to pledge a group outside of these, you're looked down by all of them as a lesser person. It's very hard to date into that group as an outsider or socialize with them. They control rush, making it impossible for other groups to move up and they hold the most power on campus. You'd think college people would grow up but noooo, the approximately 2,000 students that make up those 10 groups are as superficial as they come.

Fraternities are fine. Just like any other SEC fraternities. Sororities here have MAJOR issues. No houses, cliquiest sisterhoods I've ever witnessed, overly competitive and mean especially in the "top" sororities, fake af for the most part. Needless to say, I joined one of the "top" ones and dropped after a year.

Social scene is lacking for an SEC school, housing would be amazing if sororities had houses, selection is very competitive which makes it hard to break into the top tier bracket, greek life is falling due to more and more regulations aka PC culture.
