The first two winners were definitely one and two....the only "rigging" if
there was any was in the third place winner which should have gone
to WestSideStory. I don't know how close it was with Annie but that
would have been my only question. But that is my opinion and the
judges have their opinion and I am sure it had to be very close.

in terms of what? the overall competition or the production?
If you're saying the actual stage was rigged then gphi should've won best in show, but they got 2nd place. Yeah, the head of songfest exec was a gphi but I doubt the entire exec would (which was really diverse) would rig it in her favor to let them win the entire competition.
Honestly, I thought 1st and 2nd in show was spot on, but dg did not deserve 3rd place (THAT is what was rigged). The majority opinion is was west side should've placed, not annie. As for the overall competition, gphi moved up the ranks and held their place the entire year. I've always thought that when people hold exec positions, their chapter works harder. Maybe they just worked really hard this year to not disappoint their sister. Ever thought of that?
Pippins deserved 1st in show and gphi deserved overall. Stop trying to discredit people's hard work.

Pippin had 131 points. Millie had 128. Annie had 122. West side had 119. Hairspray had 118.
GPhi got first overall because the Phi Delt ambassador worked his butt off and got a LOT of organizations to donate on behalf of their pairing.
Nobody cheated. Everything was fair. Get over it.

it's really obvious that all of these replies are from gphis and tri delts trying to defend their win. If this post was calling out something a dg or aphi won, it would get lots of posts and replies claiming they didn't deserve to win or cheated. That's exactly what happened when dg won first last year or when aphi won all those greek awards this year. Just goes to show whos on this site the most

Ok well to be fair there is always a Dg alum on the judging panel. Last year there were like 3 PLUS Lauren Texter's dad. If that's not rigged I don't know what is. I agree with the comments above. But seriously Songfest was a month ago... Time to stop beating a dead horse.

Firstly, I never claimed that gphi or tri delt was jealous of anyone. Don't try to put words into someone else's mouth to make them look less intelligent to prove your point.
Secondly, who is "you"?
You have no idea what chapter I'm in, yet you automatically assume I'm in aphi or dg.
If one posts on this site defending gphi or tri delt, no one thinks twice, but ifs defending dg or aphi, it gets the most responses on this thread.
Lastly, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you have no right to claim what your own small mind believes is the "majority opinion"
Unless you were on the order of omega board and read every single application, or somehow managed to ask every single attending audience member at songfest who they liked, then shut your mouth.

Affiliation or not, Aphi won more awards than they deserved. I'm not suggesting Aphi isn't great and they did deserve awards but not almost all of them. Only an Aphi would disagree.
Last year Wicked was not the best show yet won best in show. All the chapters except DG all expressed (at least in my experience) that they did not agree with that at all.
This year, Gphi worked very hard to win Songfest overall, and Tridelt put on a great show which is why they won best in show.
So, these are the facts. Thank you.

Bye aphi. The only people who don't think Songfest counts for anything are the sore losers. Even SK did better than aphi.
