by: RushieSo I'm Hispanic and look exotic overall, but most people say I'm basically White. I'm rushing this fall as a junior, and I'm really liking Tri Delta, but I feel like I won't have a great chance. I wouldn't call myself hot, but I would like to think I could fit in there. I considered Gphi, but after checking them out this past year, I don't think they're the fit for me. I like to party, I'm really friendly and outgoing, and I want to be in a sorority for reasons like a sisterhood and philanthropy. I know this sounds bad, but I don't want to be in a "lower tier" sorority. Don't get me wrong, I have great friends in "lower tier" sororities, but I've hung out with all of them enough to not feel like they're the right fit for me. I've finally decided I want to go greek after contemplating it for two years and bettering myself by living a healthier lifestyle and bringing up my grades. What sororities should I look into? Do I have a chance with Tri Delta? If you're going to bash me or any sororities, please don't even comment. Thanks! :)

Would you take advice from anonymous strangers on the internet? No one here is going to give you an honest answer, they're going to give you a biased answer. Try to meet some of the girls or go through recruitment and meet them there. Not trying to bash you, but what you are doing is literally dumber than making a huge life decision based on one of those magazine personality quizzes. See for yourself. Just saying

I don't get why there are so many "rushies" that come on GR to ask if they would get in. Sorry, we don't know the answer to that. Just look good, be engaged, be outgoing but don't talk too much. You'll find a house, and be happy regardless of rank. If you go in thinking you need a top house, then if they don't want you, you'll bring in unnecessary negativity to the experience.
