appreciating talents

I thought everyone who placed yesterday Songfest did splendidly (along with West Side Story and Hairspray, so phenomenal). I noticed that all the sororities who placed are among the "top tier" sororities and in my opinion that makes a lot of sense. DG always places in Songfest, is incredibly athletic, and has the best GPAs and obviously, great looking girls. Tridelt got best in show, does decently in sports, is high up in GPA, and also has good looking girls. GPhi doesn't do so hot in sports or grades, but they SLAY Songfest every year, and of course, have hot girls. Alpha Phi which was arguably the worst in show yesterday... They get really good grades, but they just have that and their looks.
I know people are going to pull the "wow go away tridelt/gphi" thing, and you can believe what you want about my affiliation, but isn't it about time we start considering things other than looks for these tiers? I know they aren't real, but if everyone is going to take them so seriously they might as well be slightly meaningful. Looks should only account for 1 factor... If looks weren't part of the equation, let's just say that Alpha Phi would be bottom tier...

Alpha phi is classy and sweet, and have alot of really smart girls. Despite what people on this website say, I know plenty of aphis that truly care about their sisters and are some of the nicest girls I have ever met. It sucks that GR gives them such a bad rep. And if you want to factor in "other things" why don't you consider how many awards alpha phi won at the greek awards? I'm not saying dg gphi or tridelt aren't great, because they are, but there is no need to point out one chapter and bash them for not astonishing you with their musical performance. At least they are trying to contribute to the greek community in a good way by putting in time for charity, rather than anonymously troll on GR.

You can't base ranks off of musical ability.There are SO many other activities besides songfest that give sororities a chance to show off more than looks. songfest is just one of them, and lets be honest the majority of greek life doesn't really care too much about songfest

Most of the Greek awards are based on the applications you send into Order of O, not on actual performance, because that's kind of impossible to actually gauge. We should applaud them on being good writers
I never said Alpha Phis are not nice or anything, you kind of assumed it on your own... But I'm just saying a lot of chapters excel in things and for some reason they are "top tier" all because their girls are pretty. AXO for example gets a really bad rep on GR as well and yet they do phenomenally at Songfest, are super smart, and I haven't met a single rude or mean one that doesn't love her sisters. So if you are trying to tell me that Alpha Phi works harder and is nicer than most of the other chapters and that's why they're in the top tier then I have to respectfully disagree with you.
Greek life here is SO superficial, but at least if I was blind and only knew about talents/achievements I could make sense of why DG is top. Alpha Phi, KAT, and SK, yes they contribute to the Greek community but not at the level that the rest of them do in my opinion. This isn't really bashing but putting things into perspective a little on what we value and why "top tier" is considered "top tier."
