what's top house
by: PerceptionSo does top house mean popularity of parties and who drinks the most? I thought it meant being an organization that does something for the community and making uci a great place, even if it's only within Greek life. To be honestly of rather join a house that does something with their time here other than partying or whatever.

Nah top house IS about a variety of things such as: having an amazing brotherhood, great guys/pledges, awesome parties, good at sports, noteworthy sorority relations, and exceptional philanthropies. putting on good events frequently is also a good factor.
It is NOT about who can drink the most or be the biggest douchebags or who can bang the most amount of chicks.
a good indicator of a top house is how the bros interact with each other on a daily basis and how well they know one another. Also how well they set up their parties and if the parties are good is an easy way to tell if a frat is good.

A party tells a lot about a fraternity
1) Girl turnout - does this fraternity have solid enough relations to have girls show up.
2) Alch/Chase - does this fraternity have enough money to keep the party going and have enough chase for girls? (plastic alcohol is definitely not a top tier frat)
3) Brothers/Brotherhood - are bros fighting? trying to steal each other's girl or are they wingmanning eachother?
4) Organization - does this party look thrown together last minute? or carefully planned?
Go to a PhiDelt party. Then go to a PhiPsi party. There's going to be a difference.

I deactivated last quarter because all the "top houses" card about is drinking and throwing the "best" parties and arguing who's better than who with no regard for anyone else. It's like high school all over again
