rushing winter quarter
by: RushiiiieSo I rushed fall quarter and didn't get a bid back at all. I was dropped after sisterhood day, what are the odds that I would get a bid back from any house doing COB? The only houses I'm reeeeeeeeally interested in rn are Alpha Phi Tri Delta and Gamma Phi Beta (Dg isn't rushing I heard). I can't think of what I did fall quarter that would make me undesirable to a house. ideas? (I'm a sophomore, maybe that?)

See when I rushed I didn't go to all the houses because I had class. I stupidly talked about partying because I had no idea. I didn't talk about it to everyone though and I still ended up with the right house. Don't talk about drinking or partying or boys. I totally did, but like I said I got lucky (hint I'm in a top 4).
Just be yourself, give it a try. Look nice and act interested but be natural.

Depends on how the conversation is going. Also lots of pnms don't realize its a taboo. I even saw something on TSM that talked about not recruiting girls simply because they mentioned a time when they went to a club, or went to a party. I've talked to girls that have talked about it with others. There is a way to talk about it without saying anything sketch... Going out is going out. They need to give the pnms a pamplet or something so they can understand to never mention anything about it. Pnms want to make sure the sorority is social. Sororities don't want to be comingled with a bad reputation of partying and underage drinking.
Just don't mention it PNM to any sorority member. But do u see my point? Its an interesting rule.

Worded that wrong. But on TSM and some other blogs I've looked at, they said don't immediately reject a girl if they mention partying. Drinking maybe (if underage). But realistically UCI isn't a dry campus. People need to grow up.
Personal advice, never mention it. Know we do it. Its kind of an unwritten rule.

DG/Aphi/TD/GPhi/Theta don't bid girls who make careless mistakes like that.
