recruitment
by: waaaat???so i don't understand how i literally only talked to one or two girls during all of recruitment at the dg and alpha phi house, like I personally don't know how that even works now looking back at it. I did pref one of those two houses honestly just so I could reject the house because I thought it was nuts how they only show a select group of girls during recruitment when literally ALL of the other houses I spoke to a handful of girls each day...I guess those houses were hiding too many girls in the kitchen

This is funny...why are you bringing up something that happened to you, I'm assuming last year or years ago? What's the relevance? Anyways, if you truly made it to pref night with Alpha Phi or DG, which I highly doubt, you would have known that you only talk to one girl on the FIRST day of recruitment and every other day you talk to multiple. Sounds like you didn't make it the second round lol. And most people actually prefer talking to one girl on the first day, rather than 3-4 all up in your face. It's a great way to get to know the chapter better to see what it has to offer to you.

I don't think it's a big deal but I actually preferred only talking to one person the first day. I remember it was a big relief to just sit down and have a normal conversation, rather then having four different girls all trying to talk to me at the same time. It was a little nerve-racking trying to talk to so many people and make a good impression... it was a lot easier and more comfortable, one-on-one.

I don't get it. If anything they're more comfortable with ALL of their members representing them well. They don't try to hide who girls truly are by making conversations short. I'd rather have a long conversation to get a feel for a sorority than short lived ones with many girls.

They made no impression on me because I don't even remember my experiences with both except the girls I talked to didnt have much to say and I felt like I had to try hard to keep the convo going. Nice but just not interesting. Their houses were cute and everything was done well but there is more than that. I wanted to get to know them better but wasnt able to when we had to rank them.

Actually lots of sororities have you talk to 2 on the first day. 2 is perfect in my opinion. Anymore is too much on the first day, but I think one is too little for the first day. One girl cannot represent the entire sorority in my opinion. I get what you are saying, but see the other perspective as well as being preferred by lots of girls. :).
