so for new parent member days, what if our parents don't know that we're in a sorority? what do we do?

My parents didnt come to any of my events and never heard about any of them. I didnt invite them because I knew they would be too busy to come and figured I didnt want to burden them. So I think you should be fine. Your main concern should be facebook and covering the costs of the sorority when keeping a choice like that confidential from them.
