I'm honestly so sick of hearing about DG and alpha phi being on top when they are honestly not the nicest girls I've ever met and don't even get along well with other chapters. Here's my rankings on personalities, participation around the greek community, etc. Feel free to comment all the negative things you want but most girls in other chapters considered "mid" to "bottom" chapters will understand:
Tridelt (SOOOOO outgoing and participate non-stop in everything. They are the most competitive girls I know but in the best way possible they love to get their name out there and participate in everything in the greek community )

I would bet good money that the people commenting in such a way that portrays DG and Aphi in a negative light (ex: comment 13 "lol") are NOT in either one of those chapters. Speaking as a member of one of the two chapters mentioned, I have complete faith that my sisters would never say that.
Honestly, we just want good things for our chapter and it sucks that we are perceived in such a negative way because I genuinely think my sisters are pretty great. The way people generalize our chapters is not what we experience in our chapter. It's sad to hear people think we are all a certain way based on a few bad apples. With time, hopefully we can show the Greek community the amazing side of our chapters I see everyday.

I agree with this, but you can't discount entire chapters for a few bad seeds because every chapter has them.
There are some very well rounded Aphis and DGs, but other chapters have more of those well rounded girls which make them more approachable and easy to talk you.
However, I suspect that a DG or APhi wrote this to make Tri Delta look bad - and that's exactly what the Greek system sees in these chapters...low, fake lies

I hope PNMs read this and see that every chapter has bad apples. Every chapter member that has commented on this post stereotyping a sorority and blatantly being mean is no credit to how "friendly" and open you say your chapters are. As a rule, my chapter acknowledges this site exists and is encouraged to STEER CLEAR of it by all means. And to those who say we don't participate, DG and Aphi consistently rank high or win in other chapter's philanthropies and in other greek life events (ie Greek Week and Songfest). Plus we have great GPAs and were great at sports. I'm very proud to be in the chapter I'm in.

Yes exactly proving why we cannot stand either of you. Besides the few okay girls both chapters have, I have never felt comfortable talking to either when I have with every other chapter. This post is so egotistical and condescending towards every chapter. Tridelta, Theta, Gphi, Axo, Piphi, Sk and Aephi are soooo much nicer. Each chapter also has brilliant gorgeous girls and each chapter has won and ranked high fraternity philanthropies and other greek events. Honestly my chapter and myself are very well accomplished as well but we show this through our actions. We don't bring others down or act stuck up. We just work hard, are nice to others and do well.

I'm an incoming freshman looking to rush this fall, and this post just looks so bad. Honestly, after reading this, I would so much rather join Alpha Phi or DG than one of the "middle tier" houses everyone is mentioning. If your problem with them is that they're stuck up, did you ever stop to think how it reflects your character to bash them on an anonymous website? Speaking poorly of a house for being "catty" inherently makes you sound just as catty. I have not met many Alpha Phi's or DG's so I personally can't say whether or not they are truly nice. However, if I did meet them and found them to be rude or stuck-up, I would not post that on Greekrank. If they are actually mean, (I don't know if they are) then don't sink to their level by bashing them on here for incoming freshman to see. This is shameful.

I was getting worried that that's what this post was going to be after reading the original discussion post and seeing how many replies it has, but after reading all the replies thus far, there is no bashing. nobody is being catty. This is an honest discussion and it's an accurate review of both sororities. I know a lot of DG's and aphi's, one of my best friends is an aphi and one of my roommates is a dg. So i think it's safe to say that i've met many of their sisters, and sadly this thread speaks the truth. Not every girl in the chapters is as described. But as a whole, yeah. And as a whole i get the sense that both of them feel entitled.

Hi dg or aphi! Also, if you say it makes all the other chapters look low, you don't even know which chapters are commenting first of all. Second of all, if you base your decisions off this web site, you are doing what you are saying not to do and that is hypocritical. So, my advice to a pnm who may or may not be reading this is just go through recruitment and see what sorority you want. People are entitled to have different opinions.

Another reason why we don't like you is because you assume everyone wants to be you when in reality the ones that do are in your chapters! We don't want to be you! I have never met a more condescending narcissistic group of women in my life than dg and api, but especiallyyyy alpha phi. I would never tolerate that bs haha my sisters are so nice and caring and fun.
