Hii I am going through fall recruitment :) I cant wait to meet you all! I have a friend im Gphi and she loves it! I know girls in other chapters also (just not as close but maybe I will be ;). But I obviously want to find my home so I am going hard for all of them. My question is, should I mention that I am friends with or know one of their sisters? Does that put them in an awkward position? Or does it make me look good? Thanks :)

It depends hun. If you are close with the gphi mention it! She will be happy to hear.
For the other chapters I didnt get the vibe you were that close. Say hi if you see them. Dont mention them.

YO!!! When I did recruitment I was actually asked if I knew anyone currently in the chapter! So you never know! :) can't wait to meet you!!!!

I am not a gphi but on behalf of my sorority I would be careful because if you know she likes you bring it up. If you just know her you can say it only if they ask if you know anyone!

When I went through recruitment, there was a house where I knew a good amount of girls(both actives and alumna). I didn't mention I knew any of them, until day 3 of recruitment a few of the girls came up to me to say hi. I wasn't called back for Pref Night so I don't know if this had anything to do with it.

Hmm interesting maybe it did have something to do with it. I mean we never know but it seems strange they would all come up to you to say hi and not want to pref you.

When I went through the only sorority girls I was close to were in DG and GPhi. I told others that I knew them while going through recruitment and I think that helped me a little and carried me to pref. I went with the better choice for me, but I still love DG and they have some great girls. Just find the fight fit for you. It doesn't matter who you know or don't know.
