by: sadis there a way to participate in greek life without your parents finding out? my parents refuse to let me be in greek life and says that he won't support me financially if i decide to do it so i don't know what to do... I really want to do it but I don't want to be stuck with loans forever. Opinions?

If you are over 18 theres no reason you can't go to the bank and get a debit card I mean I'm guessing you do have a bank account! as long as they don't know your banking passwords you're fine. And do you have a way to pay for greek life it will cost about 300-400 a quarter. And as the other person said don't have them as friends on Facebook and you could get away with it. I know a few girls in my chapter never told their parents!

i am working so i am able to pay for it but idk, i feel like if i get a new account, my parents would get a little suspicious haha

my parents don't really understand the concept of greek life, since they're fobs and they know that i'm involved in this organization but they dont know that i have to pay dues otherwise they'd probably literally kill me. but since i work and i get financial aid i just use that money and they don't know that i spend money on that.. now if your parents understand greek life then idk.. just tell them it's my life i'll do what i want

Just do it but prove you won't be a financial burden, that it won't negatively affect your GPA and that you won't change in a negative way.
