In the end it is about finding your home. I do respect that some philanthropies are better than others. But UCI parties, especially venues are usually pretty lame anyway haha. I have been to parties from all the frats and sororities. The goal is to meet as many cool people as possible and just chill and party with them. It is more fun.

Wish someone told me this as a freshman :(

This made me laugh. I walked away from a top tier bid and waited until the next fall for a "lower" house and I can't even tell you how much more happy I am. The cattiness was too much to handle in top houses.

Because I am considered attractive, if I had faked how I truly am to fit what top houses look for I could have gotten a top house. But, sorry, I am not thatttt girly and don't care about being "popular." In my experience in my sorority, my sisters helped me find a job, a bunch of them to study for the LSAT/MCAT/GRE etc., roommates, party buddies, best friends, and met frat guys I kept close friendships with. I also met my boyfriend!!! I just graduated and I am darn proud that I got the right fit because I picked the girls that fit with me.

How can it be a bad decision if they love their sisters?

Sounds like ur trying to take away some of our potential new babies or dissuading them from even joining Greek life if you don't want them.

is a load of crap! All of our sororities are great, but the middle tier ones are actually BETTER. Their sisterhood is stronger and they aren't so fake and pretentious.

Seriously haha being mid tier if you fit in with the girls is awesome. Not catty/superficial, good fraternity relations, good philanthropy, fun events, not the most expensive and great sisterhoods!
