sorority recruitment

Hi I have no interest in the rankings or getting into a "top house." I genuinely want to make friends by going through recruitment and I do not really care for what is written about the Greek system on this website. With that being said, can someone explain to me how sorority recruitment works here? I always thought you go to multiple houses every day, and at the end of every day both parties mutually select/cut one another. But my older sibling at uci told me that you just go to one sorority's event every night. Which one is it? I am worried that I will spend alot of time on one or two sororities I thought I was clicking with. How do we know if a sorority is also interested in us if they are not consistently making cuts during recruitment?
If anybody could explain this to me I would really appreciate it! Thanks and zot on! <3

Hi, if you're an incoming freshman and are going to attend SPOP, Greek Life will be boothing on the 2nd day in Emerald Bay inside the Student Center from 1pm until 2:30pm. You can direct this question to the representatives at the booth since they are the most qualified to give you a correct answer <3

The best information you can get is from Panhellenic! Go on the uci Panhellenic website or uci sorority recruitment website and there should be a page to email them and ask questions. They are girls in sororities that are also leading Greek life as a whole so I believe they are best to answer your questions as opposed to someone on this website!

Sounds like your friend might have gone through informal winter or spring recruitment.
You definitely go to multiple houses everyday. You'll get all the information once you register and during welcome week! Don't worry about it, your RC's will make everything very clear.
