being close to a few DG's, they're pretty cool but honestly yes i have heard manyyyyyyy things about girls in their own chapter. they do bad mouth each other, but come on, you do have to decide for yourself and get off this website because it's just going to influence your decisions, and that's not really fair to yourself or other sororities. Please keep an open mind and try not to come back on until after recruitment.

I have to agree! It's not just the mentioned chapters
There may be flaws in certain chapters that make girls deactivate but the huge problem is the way recruitment works. It's basically decided by a computer which sorority gives you a bid and from the girls that I've seen get bids for every single chapter that don't "fit"
In that chapter it is mainly because of the computer. So every chapter loses girls because they just don't fit In that chapter. It's not the chapters fault it was a flaw In the system. I have to agree with the person above me in that Panhellenic should really make some changes so that there are less deactivations throughout our Greek system at UCI. All my friends who go to other schools have never had so many deactivations in their chapter as all chapters at uci have

It's all chapters (including my own) that have a ton of deactivations each year. Honestly it seems that it's just our Greek system as a whole at uci that's the problem which is something Panhellenic needs to help with and figure out. Although I must say it seems like alpha phi and DG has the most just because they put on an act during recruitment then the new members see their true colors. Chapters like theta also have a lot because a lot of freshmen don't expect the party lifestyle of the chapter haha
As far as pi phi I have a lot of friends in that chapter and I know they have had some girls deactivate because their dues are higher (but hey they have a private chef my chapter should get that haha!)
