Just be real and tell her it's not worth the money to pay to join a "top" house if she hates it and/or is only in it for the rank and parties. Sororities are expensive so if you're going to join one it should be the one you're going to get the most out of with sisters who actually care about you and where you'll grow and have new opportunities. No one cares about being on top when they hate their sisters or realize there's a better house for them that they disregarded because it wasn't top. And if she can't be real about that then you should probs find a new gf who is a little less shallow.

I did this same thing my freshman year and he changed so much and became so conceited and egotistical and would get jealous and control what I do. In my opinion don't rush your first year if you relationship is more important to you. Try to build your relationship for college your first year and then think about rushing. I wish I did that before he was pressured to treat me a certain way because of the fraternity he joined

you're a freshman in college. unless you are brainwashed into thinking that you are going to get married to this person in the foreseeable future, i recommend not being in a relationship if you decide to go greek.
