dues

by: new girl

I'm thinking of rushing this coming year and I'm interested in theta and dg. Just curious, what is the average due amount for both of those sororities?

If you do Fall Recruitment, they'll give you a packet with the amounts for each chapter! (:

If I were you I wouldn't do theta. They don't get any perks from their dues and it's insanely high.

Agreed. Theta is not a very good sorority to rush. The dues aren't high at all but you have basically zero things and the things they do are pretty bad.

yup our dues are definitely the lowest. and we use them differently than other chapters bc we're old fashioned up thru the national level of things its not up to us. if youre rushing check out every angle of either sorority and see where you fit. to be honest this site shouldn't be your ideal "go-to" for ANY sorority's information lol all the real sh t gets lost among all the hate maaan

dues vary from chapter to chapter
for your first quarter which is your pledging period, it's about $600-$850 (it's only this pricey for the very first quarter you join because of one time fees etc that you need to pay for the first time). each quarter after, it's about $350-$500 for active dues (active means that you are an initiated member and no longer pledging). there are lots of scholarships that you can apply for, especially from alumni clubs or regionals/nationals even. keep in mind that dues are not all inclusive for some chapters, meaning there are extra fees you'll need to pay for events, formals, etc. and also, keep in mind that you'll be spending money for new clothes (sometimes you need certain outfits or shoes for certain events like white pants or black wedges, etc.), gifts for bigs/littles, philanthropies, letters, tshirts and more.
