Unsure if I should rush
by: Rushing for fall?I’m an incoming freshman and recruitment is coming up and I don’t know whether to rush a Panhellenic sorority or not. I think it’s great that they’re still hosting a virtual recruitment, but it’s obviously not the same than having events. I’m also planning to live at home for possibly the whole year (at least for fall quarter) so I wonder if I should just wait until things are “normal” again and I live on or near campus. My other concern are the dues. I want to know before officially joining a sorority how much dues would be, but I don’t think they would be so transparent about that. Any advice or thoughts? Thanks.

I would say go for it! You have nothing to lose in rushing. If you feel like you couldn’t really get a feel for the sororities virtually at the end of the process, you can always choose to rush next year or in a different quarter. In terms of dues, you can message the sororities’ instagram accounts to see if they can get you in contact with the member who runs finances for the chapter to get a better idea. Hope this helps :)
