Fall Rush being online is BS

As an exec member of my chapter I am extremely disappointed and upset that IFC has already started planning an online rush without consulting or asking the frats what their thoughts for an online rush are. I personally would’ve voted against an online rush as I and many others would because it’s obvious that meeting someone online is way different than in person and the whole point of rush is to see who you fit in with personally. My frat was not planning for a fall rush but now we kinda have to so that we could keep up with the other frats. I’m disappointed that IFC made a decision on behalf of the frats without consulting the frats and this move will hurt Greek life at a school that already doesn’t have a big Greek presence. If there is anyway that IFC could just cancel fall rush and make winter a 2 week rush process with the possibility of moving week 0 to winter, that would be greatly appreciated, but until then, I’m disappointed in IFC for not representing the best interests of all the frats
