Unless you're a dime my frat will kick you out... I (and I'll speak on behalf of most members in my chapter) hate gdi girls. It's so annoying seeing unaffiliated girls come and drink alcohol that is meant for the affiliated girls. The worst gdis are the ones who have zero intention to go Greek. How is it fair you get to party, socialize, drink on our dollar when it is meant for girls who actually pay to be included in these things???? Greek life is meant to be exclusive. And quite honestly, I hate gdi girls because they all tend to be poor. They can't afford or don't want to pay dues but they wanna come and party? Yeeeeah no.

This is coming from a T-5 frat. So my advice to you is to party with the lower frats who need the ratio and care less about status. We're good over here though

Not hard for lower tier frats or if you have friends in a chapter and you're going with them. But also have you considered going Greek? There is a financial component here and just strolling through to Greek parties where you know no one and have no intention of getting to know anyone/rush makes you a bit of a mooch. But if you're rushing/have friends in there you should be fine.

I'm with the guys above. First of all, as a prerequisite, you should be invited before you attend any Greek event (either by the frat/sorority who throws the event or approved by the frat/sorority who throws the event). It is common courtesy. Besides, why would you go somewhere you are not wanted? Second, while I agree some lower frats may be okay with it, you should still meet the prerequisite. If you are welcomed then it is different right? As someone who is poor and in Greek, I can tell you I have struggled financially to pay dues, but dues are not nearly as expensive as most frats/sororities in other schools. So if you want to attend these parties you should really join Greek. Or just join a school organization and party with them.

The very few hot/chill GDIs get invited or get approved while there to come and hang out. The problem is you can't be too nice in this world. If a frat is hosting and uninvited unaffiliated guests come, they are imposing themselves. That's honestly such basic common courtesy it goes beyond Greek and that is just life.

The general consensus seems here, and my personal experience is: I have partied with GDIs before and always the nice cute ones were approved or invited. Those are fine. But I remember seeing at parties some GDIs that no one recognized and they just drank and left.

I've partied with sorority girls and never expect hooking up because I'm a gentleman and consummate human being. I will definitely hit on the girls I like and hope I am successful. But hooking up to me is not the issue with GDIs lol.
