superficial recruitment
by: NervousSo I've unfortunately been on this site since recruitment is right around the corner and I wanted to know if sororities really are superficial during rush? There are actives talking about it so I can't help but be nervous for rush if I'm gonna feel like i'm being judged for what i look like! I get that in a sense it's pretty superficial because you can't make a true connection in that short amount of time but do most sororities make decisions based off looks (obviously assuming your personality is decent/friendly)

Honest viewpoint from the frat end of things: Not ever Aphi is attractive - but the girls that aren't that hot in top houses make up HUGELY in personalities. Personalities (and by that I mean how they act around guys) can make up for looks if it can help with relations and having friends in frats that influence ranks (all the house rankings are decided by the guys, not the girls).

People need to realize that this is all a part of Greek life. Of course girls are judging you based off looks and don't take it personally, it's just what ends up happening. If you end up in Sigma Kappa when you were desperately trying to avoid them, check your looks and personality. Lol

Well everyone says "looks might be considered" but they really are a big factor... I've heard about DG having the pretty girl pictures in their kitchen! So does that mean only the pretty girls are allowed in those sororities and the girls who are a little overweight end up in Sigma Kappa??
