spring quarter rushing or fall

I really want to rush of a sorority either this quarter or next year but I'm worried about my gpa. I'm at a 2.7 this quarter and but the end of spring quarter hopefully at a 2.8 should I rush now or wait? Also do you pay a fee for every sorority you decide to rush for?
