mercer sorority tiers

There isn’t really a tier system here since there are only 4 sororities it’s more just based off of your vibe. These are the ranks imo:

AGD/ADPi
•Alpha Gam - is the newest sorority, so it took them a while to really get established on campus, but they’re the best group of girls imo. Super involved, smart, cute, and nice. Not fake or stuck up at all, great sisterhood, really well liked
•ADPi - have gone really downhill in the past few years, but there’s a good handful of freshman and sophomore that are amazing. They’ve kinda gotten a little weird the past few years, but they’re still mostly nice and involved girls
Phi Mu - the stereotypical sorority. Lots of hot cheerleaders. However, they have the least personality, involvement, and philanthropy of all 4. They’ve also had a lot of hazing allegations, have a terrible sisterhood, and are widely disliked by campus
Chi O - the party sorority. They’ve gotten a lot of heat over getting in trouble for saying the n word on bid day. Most of their chapter went inactive or dropped because of it. Known for being sloppy and now have a lot of issues due to the bid day scandal. Also super cliquey

It depends on what you’re looking for really

Alpha Gam/ADPi if you’re looking for connections/academics/real sisterhood. Standards in ADPi can be super strict tho

Phi Mu/Chi O if you’re looking to party/get your Mrs. degree/get the most likes on insta

Chi O was on their way to being top but then they got in trouble for a bunch of them screaming the n word on bid day. A lottt of girls dropped after that, but they’re still pretty social and diverse.

I’d say Phi Mu is “top” - they have all the hot blonde girls and cheerleaders. However, they’re probably the least liked and have the most in-sorority drama. Not known for anything good other than being attractive.

ADPi and Alpha Gam are pretty similar in that they’re the type-A, super involved girls that are generally pretty well liked on campus. They’re slightly different in that Alpha Gam is a lot less judgey, more diverse, and more social, ADPi has a lot more good southern girls

AGD and ADPi are the only good ones left on campus after Chi O’s n word bid day scandal... Phi Mu and Chi O are constantly in trouble/in drama and not very well liked on campus. ADPi and Alpha Gam are both pretty chill and full of great girls, preference really just depends on personality - Alpha Gam typically takes more out of state/city girls, more laid back but still super involved and smart, and ADPi is typically more of the Type-A country girls

The best way to know which one is best is during actual recruitement, not in an ANONYMOUS website with one persons opinion, not to mention self-raters etc. They are all pretty nice and have great girls, some just more than others

^ Agreed. Go through recruitment and see who you feel most connected to.

First of all, all four sororities are really great. Get to know each sorority and feel the vibe of each house to determine where you feel is like home.

ADPi- strict, no nonsense group of girls, sweet, take home to Mom kind of girls, boring, don’t do much, have many mandatory events bcs they wouldn’t have participation if they didn’t, hang with KA a lot, involved on campus, stand-offish, full of cliques

Chi O- most scandalous, sleeps with sister’s bf and is still friends with her, got in major trouble for yelling the N word proudly, got the best PC on row last year, has good banners, chi hoes is real, most diverse group on row

Alpha Gam- super sweet, super nice girls, out there, kinda weird, smart, introverted and keeps to themselves, don’t expect panlove events with them, overall great girls just weird

Phi Mu- major athlete sorority, good gpa year after year, adding more diversity, growing their rep on campus, also like adpi-well involved on campus, hangs out with other frats and sororities, known for having a good time and good grades, social media is too notch, the popular girls on campus

- Phi Mu (top tier even though a lot of them can be mean/snobby)
- Alpha Gam (genuine, cute girls, rep has climbed a ton in the past two years, only group that’s avoided scandals)
- ADPi (a lot of them are kinda stuck up, very religious, took a big group of more awkward girls during past two recruitments, but they can be good for Type A girls)
- Chi O (recently got in trouble for an n-word incident on bid day, socials have slipped a lot recently, they still have some cool girls though even though a handful can be rude/cliquey)

Just go through recruitment and make up your own mind!!

Honestly, I’m not in a sorority but I know girls in all chapters and all of them except for the girls in Phi Mu love their sorority! I’d say consider the other three first, they seem to have a better, more genuine experience
