Ilove this chapter! Phi Mu was a top runner from the first night of recruitment. I had great conversations with girls who I could tell genuinely loved their chapter. All of the sororities on campus are great and you will find your place wherever you go, but Phi Mu really became a rock in my transition to Mercer. My sisters have continued to make me feel welcomed and at home. They encourage me to reach out to sisters from other chapters and pursue relationships with girls that aren’t in our sorority. Sorority life is what you make it to be. There will always be good and bad everywhere you go, just make the most of it. If you go in with the mindset that you are going to put up walls to girls on the outside, then you are going to set yourself up for a cliquey sisterhood. As with anything you do, go in with an open heart and mind, seek to love girls inside and outside of greek life, and find your niche. You can’t go wrong!

Snobby and stuck up. My friend got sucked into thinking she wanted to join because of their looks and clout. Hates it and is thinking of transferring. They’re all really mean to her, forced alcohol on her, and tell her what to wear and who to hang out with. Most of these girls think way more of themselves than any one else ever could.

Literally some of the nicest girls I’ve ever met! Phi Mus tend to be the popular cheerleader types but if you can get past that they are actually very real and authentic!

Not that nice to anyone outside of their little clique. Very enamored with money and obsessed with looks. Even their own sisters will tell you this to be true if they are being honest. Pretend to be classy but are actually the opposite

I’m a member of this sorority, but I wish I wasn’t. As a Phi (new member) my big and other older sisters forced me to drink and would drag me downtown and then just leave me there. There’s no sisterhood and no one comes to our events. Phi Mus put on a good facade during rush but DON’T buy into it

No one else on campus likes or really wants to be associated with phi mu’s. They tend to be party girls who don’t care about involvement or school (their gpa is only high bc they’re all super easy majors). They actively tell girls who they can and can’t hang out with and what they can and can’t wear, and no one goes to their non-mandatory events

I would hope that no one would hang out with me just because I was in a certain sorority. I rushed Phi Mu because of girls I had met in church in Macon. I have never been told what I can and can’t wear. I certainly have never been told that I can’t hang out with certain people. Also like all sororities on campus, we have girls who work hard for their grades. No matter what your major is, college is hard for many reasons. Phi Mu or not, academics are no joke at Mercer.

if you've ever seen anyone in phi mu, you'd know they think they are at the top. these girls are absolutely FULLLLL of themselves. from harshly judging everyone, to thinking they can get whoever they want, these girls are trash. save yourself and don't waste your time talking to a phi mu, unless you're up for a fight.

Phi Mu is definitely not a stereotypical sorority... like stop watching movies about college and actually LOOK at this sorority. It is definitely not as diverse as Chi O, but it is still DIVERSE. The few sisters, that I know, are so studious and involved. Yes, they are wild and know how to party. But let me tell you if they can get a 4.0 they can do whatever they want. Phi Mu definitely has the worst rep on campus out of all the sororities, but why? All sororities are equal, stop thinking your sorority is the best or all sororities suck. We are all girls here like lets come together and run this world. So Phi Mu? Hell yeah you do you girlies

They're just not original. The sorority is not confident enough to do their own thing and so they steal ideas from all the other sororities.

From a member’s point of view, Phi Mu ladies are absolutely a fantastic group of women! They are so kind to everyone and and strive to create a great sisterhood within the chapter.
