brother/sister houses

A lot of fraternities have their sorority counterpart. It's a house they spend a lot of time with, are really close with, and lots of guys attend their formals and date people in that house. These houses are also the guy/girl version of each other.

Delta Sig and Pi Beta Phi- Both houses have a lot of swimmers/polo players. They're both really chill and quirky. Both houses have a IDGAF about anything but 4-20 blaze it and hangout at 3rd and U. Lots of Delta Sigs at their formal and the houses are really close.

Sigma Chi and Delta Gamma- These houses have a similar " I'm better than you" personalities. Sigma Chi wins DG's Philos and they win theirs or come out hard all the time. They hangout and travel with each other 24/7. Always a huge Sig Chi presence at DG formal

Pike and Alpha Phi- These houses are similar in that they are good looking...and that's all they have going for them. There are Aphis always hanging out at the Pike house. The girls help them rush and both of their new mems are always friends from the beginning. Always a lot of Pikes at Aphi formal.

Kappa and Theta Xi- This relationship probably goes back the furthest back. Theta Xi's are always dating tons of kappas, and the girls spend a lot of time at their house. Unfortunately, both of these houses still dwell on the past as they are both slipping due to poor recruitment.

Sigma Nu and Tri Delt/ Theta Chi and AXO- A few gems in each house, but they are try hards trying to stay relevant.

I think it is relevant. who you hangout with the most says a lot about the fraternity/sorority. you don't see Pike spending all their time with tridelt or axo

Its kinda more that people of the same frat pledge class will hangout with people of the same particular sorority pledge class so it seems like houses are tight when it varies by age/grade

Whoever said that Pike example was true. You don't see Pike's new mems hanging out tridelt new mems. Girls learn from their big and older girls.

They way I see it is that is members of Aphi/DG/Kappa/PiPhi disperse and become close with guys in Delta sig/SigChi/Pike.

The trend is that and girls in each sorority have their preference from that.

Ive also noticed that the freshman dgs this year were really close with dsig. don't know enough to say what the freshman pi phi's are up to though. Besides that, you couldn't be more accurate with your post

dg freshman were way closer with dsig than any other sororities pledge class, half the dsig boys slept on the dg freshman boats all of houseboats, but of course there are still some girls who would consider themselves closest with sigma chis/pikes

It's just bc Dsig gave out the most bids to freshman last year. Being new with a small house and a small underclass prescence, they gave out bids like a tshirt gun during rush week. A good amount of their freshman all
Lived together in the same building as freshman DGs so they grew close and introduced each other to one another.
