in depth fraternity rankings summer 2014

These Rankings are my opinion based on my last two years in Davis.
Top:
1)Sig Chi: I put these guys above pike because they have their act together in every aspect of fraternity life besides partying. Top tier recruitment, Top tier exchanges, great looking guys, and derby days is the best fraternity philanthropy event in Davis. These guys got Sage the Gemni to do a concert, for free.. Guys in other houses are turned off by their snobbish attitude, but these guys are the current top house at davis. Plain and simple.
2)Pike: A lot of people confuse the pike of the past with the pike of the present. The current fraternity is doucheier than all other fraternities on campus combined. With the exception of Alpha Phi, a lot of girls from the top four sororities have started to avoid pike exchanges because of this. Not many guys make it through their ridiculous pledging process, so they have gradually gotten smaller. These guys are extremely unorganized and very unstable as a fraternity. If they get their act together they can easily Swamp Sig Chi. if they continue to act the same way, things will catch up to them and they could easily wind up like SigEp or SAE.

Theta chi: these guys have the reputation of being the animal house of Davis. They have probably the frattiest looking (and one of the dirtiest) houses in all of Davis. I haven’t ran into any douchey brothers during exchanges. There are a few weird looking guys paired with several guys that I’d mistake for being in top tier fraternity. Their recruitment last year was solid, and it’s pretty clear they are trying to make moves. The big thing holding them back is lack of respect from other houses. A lot of people still treat theta chi like what it was 3 years ago: a rundown fraternity on the brink of collapse. Overcoming their poor reputation will be their biggest challenge next year.
3)Sigma Nu
These guys have come a long way since they re-chartered back in 2009. They have a big house, did really well at greek awards night, and are awesome with philo/community service/ grades. There is only one problem: I can’t stand to be around them. The brothers that had any confidence left last year, leaving a bunch of guys that like to study together and have trouble looking you in the eye. Exchanges usually end up in the brothers standing on one side of their basement while staring at me and my sisters. Then we go to the bars. Meh.

1) Zeta Psi:
New fraternity and very little campus presence along with an identity crisis (Zeta Psi Lamba Phi Omega Alpha Sigma Alpha Epsilon…) put these guys in the high bottom, but the new brothers I met are fairly chill. These guys have an advantage over other new fraternities because the majority of their juniors and seniors are former SAE members who wield good relations with a bunch of girls in sorority leadership positions. We will see how long this one lasts.

3) Chi Phi: idk much about them.

makes sense why they're snobby and stuck up....they think money can buy their way through anything
