Firstly, politicians of America tend to have a bad reputation.
Secondly, if you actually look at percentage accepted into law school by major, you will see that hard sciences consistently place high, with PolySci/Gov type majors actually faring poor, relatively.
Not saying its a bad major, depends on the person and their reasons for being there.
