help: i submitted the wrong transcript!!
by: c/o 2022
Hi,
I recently registered for sorority recruitment and I submitted my high school transcript that only includes 7 semesters. Also, when the registration form told me to list my GPA, I wrote my UC 10-12 GPA, which is higher than my unweighted, but I didn’t specify that I used my UC GPA.
Will this hurt my chances of getting a bid/look bad??

Honestly you will be okay! When you enter into rush, you are given a score before anything even begins based on various factors on the application (year, grades, involvement, etc.). From what I know, different sororities weight your score based on what aligns with their values/desires. For example, Pi Phi has maintained top GPA for many many years now and they are known for being absurdly smart. They put a greater emphasis on GPA in their pre-score and recruit academic types to maintain that academic environment. Other chapters like Delta Gamma value having girls in their sorority for 4 years, so incoming freshman start with a higher score. Does this make sense? However, keep in mind that this is just a score based off of what you wrote and although it can give you a boost, the real important stuff is when you actually meet the girls! You will find your home if you just trust the process so I would not worry about your application. Thankfully, Greek life here at UCD is extremely chill :)
