by: goshI just heard about the shooting incident and was shocked because I've always thought they were cool people. This is my first year in Davis so I do not know much about greek life yet. What's TKE's reputation in davis? I want to know if I can still go to their parties feeling safe. I also don't know any other fraternities other than them... seems like the sororities won't care and will continue like them tho

According to detailed sources, the suspected shooter never went into anyone’s home and was not trigger happy. He was attacked by three older males (25-40yrs) all from Section 8 housing. One of the older males happened to have an extensive prior background with previous prison time (5+yrs) and various felonies (15+) ranging from burglary, assault, domestic violence. and etc..The suspected shooter felt harassed and threatened for his life. He then used his registered gun as method of self defense since the only round he fired was a prevention shot at the ground not at anyone as mentioned on here.

Many of you on here talk and make many assumptions without knowing full detail. Believing that the suspected shooter would just fire a gun over a simple noise argument is completely ridiculous. How stupid can a college student be to throw his life away over a simple “noise argument” I have personally met this guy and he’s a chill person. Was completely shocked to know he was involved in such situation, hopefully all of this will get resolved.
