picnic day

Is picnic day like a Greek life thing or just something everyone can go to, like the welcome week parties?
Also if someone could just explain the general logistics of picnic day to me that'd be really helpful. Like what actually happens

Parties are usually early in the morning (start at like 5am but I think they become open to non-brothers around maybe 7 or 8) but you probably wont be let in without an invite from one of the brothers. Sometimes frats have open parties in the morning but I'd say most dont. After that you kind of fend for yourself, usually they migrate to a satellite house or something
