fall recruitment

Please help me out. Freshman year I did bad and got dismissed. Over the past two years I've been taking classes at a cc to figure out what I want to do with my life. My gpa at the cc was fairly good, but when I readmitted this fall I will be at 2.2 at Davis. Since I didn't take summer classes at Davis I didn't have the chance to bring up my gpa. When I return this fall I'll be a freshman/sophomore at Davis not counting my cc units. What would be my chances of getting into axo? Or should I just get my gpa up and wait till informal. It just sucks that cc classes don't boost up ur gpa. I regret not taking davis summer classes this summer
