Is there gpa requirement to rush the sororities? Mine was kinda low and I'm worried.

Should add it was a 2.6. Really low but there's good reasoning behind it. Would I ever have a chance to explain what happened or do they just look at it and make the decision.

Don't worry about your GPA! You need at least a 2.5 to rush, as long as you stay above that no one will know. Every chapter will encourage you to raise your GPA, but we understand that your first semester at college is really hard and sometimes your GPA doesn't reflect how hard you've worked.

There could have been other reasons your friend did not get a bid! Recruitment follows a careful and thoughtful decision making process. Yes, GPA is part of that decision, but it's not the only factor.
