joining

I'm a sophomore and want to join a sorority this semester. How does that work? there's no formal rush so I don't know how to approach it

Some of the chapters will do informal rush this semester, but not all. If you want the "full greek" experience, I would recommend waiting until formal recruitment in the spring. I went through recruitment as a sophomore and I joined the sorority I wanted and fell completely in love. I promise being a sophomore will not hold you back at all. I just wouldn't want to miss out on a certain chapter just because they aren't doing informal during the Fall.

But on the other hand, you could see how it goes and just learn more. If you feel at home in one for the fall, why waste a semester?
